Numbers before sales calls
PureEnergyTools exists because most solar calculators are lead forms wearing a calculator's clothes. Ours aren't.
Why We Built This
Search "solar savings calculator" and most results ask for your name, email, and phone number before showing a single figure — because the real product being sold is your contact information, handed off to an installer's sales team. We wanted a place where the math comes first: enter real numbers, get a real estimate, no phone call required.
Every calculator here is built around a specific, practical question — not a generic quote. How much would I actually save? What size system do I need? How long until it pays for itself? How big a battery do I actually need to keep the fridge and WiFi running? Each tool answers one question well rather than trying to be everything at once.
How We Keep the Math Honest
Every formula on this site uses standard industry assumptions — things like an 85% system efficiency derate, 80% battery depth of discharge, and region-specific peak sun hour data — rather than optimistic marketing numbers. We explain these assumptions openly on each tool's page instead of hiding them behind a "your results may vary" footnote.
How This Site Is Supported
PureEnergyTools is free to use and always will be. We support the site through display advertising and, on some pages, affiliate links to solar equipment and installer partners. If you click through and make a purchase, we may earn a small commission — this never changes the numbers a calculator shows you.
